^What he said, your just going to have to accept the fact that some titles arent able to be maxed out, the prime example being the gladiator and hero title tracks.

Example: i did all this work to get to rank 12 and yet i dont have a kind of big deal point.

Thing is they cant set the max on that sort fo title, and there are some others that they wont be able to max out too (ie the kin dof big deal title itself)

I sent this same topic to Guild Wars, and they referred me to the Fan site Forums to post this issue but it appears I was not the only one pondering this unique title, so..... I am in concurrence with the rest of you, and GW/ANET please fix this problem. We have allot of game money and time invested into your product we just ask for you to make it right.

No need for a core skill hunter title - just include core skills in the requirements for each chapter title.

definitely want the requirements of this title updated. it's annoying that you have to depend on unreleased chapters of GW in order to get the next level of skill hunter! Temporarily max the title at 180 skills pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!

Ill be the only one to say - /halfsigned, not because of the whole elite thing, but if that would happen, people would start begging anet for gaining titles like Drunkard easier. I dont mind it, but i just dont hope there will be such threads later.

When they came out with the titles, this was the only one that you couldn't max out until the next chapter (s?) came out. All of the PvP titles do have a max (Hero max is level 13 according to guildwiki, btw) It wouldn't be right to raise the maxes in these, as they're tough enough to get as it is. also, that would be like holding a carrot under one's nose to keep them going. And since we're not donkeys pulling a cart, that will wear thin real fast & people will get turned off to GW real quick and in a hurry.

I'm a bit on the fence about this title, tho - I don't mind them making the max at 225, IF it's obtainable with chapter 3. If it's not, I smell a carrot!

This is the ONLY title which depends on chapters which aren't released yet. Which means that it will never be maxed out as long as GW has a pulse- who knows when that'll end?? Also Kook, I doubt the max level for this title is obtainable with C3, I'll stick with the original solution at the start of this thread

I get it if ANET are trying to make people stay ingame for as long as possible, but as Kook said, 'that will wear thin real fast and people will get turned off to GW real quick and in a hurry'.

I think sombebody posted on a thread here to during the dragon event that there is no way you can max out the lucky/unlucky title during that one event.

Although it is possible there may be another Factions event, I think it is more likely that these titles are there for people as an incentive to buy the other future/past chapters. The whole idea of having a title is as an incentive to play the game more.

Also although slightly offtopic - I wonder how the account linking wth Nightfall will work in regards to unlinked Prophecies and Factions accounts. Will you be made to choose which one you link it to, or can you link both up to it (therefore retrospectively linking your Factions to Prophecies)?

Now let's suppose (another IF thingie) that they stick to the formula for elite skills - Chapter 1: professions get 15 elites. Chapter 2: New professions get 15 elites and professions introduced in previous chapter get 10. Under this scenario, you can max out the title with chapter 3.

(If this next bit has been mentioned, sorry for the repeat, but I'm tired) This is the only title track where you need to buy multiple chapters to get the max. To get the KOABD, you don't even need this title, so why would they make it if you could never permanently get the top rank? It would really suck if you got the max on this one as your fifth max, get that KOABD and then have it taken away from you because you don't buy the next chapter! (Have you ever seen the Simpson's episode where Mr. Burns is dangling a wad of money out the car window and Lisa's runnning along chasing after it? That's kinda what the OP is suggesting as a fix for this)

As far as I know, they're not going to raise the bar on us anyway, so I'm going to have to give this the /notsigned.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found out (after getting elite #225!) that they changed this thing!

Now, the max is level 6, which requires 380, THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY!!!!! Elites. Guess what? with the 3 current chapters out there, you can only get to level 5! (According to guildwiki)

Congrats everyone who's been working hard to max this title! You've just been screwed!

It's ridiculous only if you're going for titles simply to max them out. Some people do not. I am happy having Elite Skill Hunter as a title on its own, even if it doesn't contribute to KoaBD. It's a nicer title than the latter anyhow, in my opinion.

That said, I wouldn't mind if it temporarily maxed at different points with new chapter releases. But I certainly don't go for titles just so they can contribute towards KoaBD. That is not the only title with value - others do too.

I gotta say it pissed me off since I had completed both protectors and cartographers and elites, but elites didn't count towards my KOABD. Now I'll have to go cap all the useless dervish elite forms and other things to keep it up to date, and even then it won't be complete. Kind of a big deal for a lot of useless nothing if you ask me. I say give us temporary max status, it's a hard title to get with a lot of pointlessness (when will I ever use a divine favor or strength elite skill on my mesmer?) and you have to be quick enough to keep up with it every chapter anyway to keep it up to date, I think that deserves a maxed out title.

Hmmm, I like that. Making it into smaller titles? Not sure how that would work, but I like that idea. Just a thought. In any case, they do need to adjust the title and give it a maximum level.

Getting KoABD isn't the issue. That's easy enough with the 6 protector / cartographer titles avaliable. For that matter, I could spend a whole bunch of time sitting around in outposts getting the max drunkard title!

The issue is that they keep raising the bar on maxing out this title. There are lots of people who have set themselves a goal of maxing out this title, and they keep putting it out of reach! Every other max title is obtainable with the currently released content, but not this one. It makes no sense.

People have spent a lot of time working towards the goal of maxing out this title, as it is one of the more noteworthy ones to get - especially on the PvE side of things. And with the max previously set at 225, many had the hope of reaching the top tier with the release of Nightfall. Now, there're a lot of dissapointed people out there. I wouldn't be complaining if they had raised the max but made it obtainable with the 3 campaigns.

You have elite skill hunter? Congrats on getting the 290 elites need to reach that rank!
